Question by Tim S: Explain Legal Residence to me?
I’m from Europe, interested in moving to the United States via the employment based Visa. I know I’m supposed to find an employer who’s willing to vouch for me (and pay a certain sum to immigration), which I can do on a six month “scouting vacation” before I make my move. But I’m also aware that I need to have a legal place to stay. Does this have to be a house or appartment? Because I am looking to live permanently in a sufficiently large RV. Can I just rent an apartment and use that as “legal residence”? Or can I even list my RV+RV park as legal residence?

As long as you can provide a valid physical address for where you are living you will be fine. You will need to contact the RV park beforehand to see if they allow long-term residents.

Question by Sammy: Dealing with Rude Brothers?
My dad died Jan 10 from a freak accident at work. It has devastated the whole family and we are having an extremely tough time dealing with the loss of such a beautiful person.
Anyway, his two sons from Europe (my older half-brothers) have flown in this week to attend the funeral. And I am angry because all my brothers talk about is “Lets go out! Im bored! When are we going to Hollywood or a club?!?” and I want to just scream at them and say “DID YOU FORGET YOU ARE HERE FOR YOUR DADS FUNERAL!!!!! NOT A VACATION!!!!!!”
What should I do with them? One is 28, and one is 37…and they are acting like little children! And no one is in the mood to keep them entertained at such a tragic time.

I think that you should just try and take your brothers out of the picture while there at your house, and just focus on the funeral. Although you want to, you cant force someone to morn for a lost one if they dont want to, but you should do whatever you want to do, and let your brothers do the same. Also, i am very sorry for your loss, and i hope everything is ok.

He is 45 years old who is married to my 38 year old mother who had me and my 11 year old brother. I have a large family in Europe but here in USA it’s small compared to Europe. when i went to new york in 2007, my cousin from india asked me about my vacation time..i was honest and told him i have a month and a half off for Christmas Vacation and 2 months off for summer vacation then out of nowhere he started persuading me to visit india..he asked me a numerous number of times..the day before he went back to india, he said the best time to visit india is in december..later in november of that year, my sister went to india. my cousin asked me to send him her contact info..when i did that, he replied “hope you guys are able to come with her. cheeeerrrrrsssss” . i never replied saying i was or i wasnt coming..the day my sister went arrived in india, my cousin called me and said “we thought we’d be seeing you as well, then i told him i got busy then his reply was “omg! everyone is busy. then said we’ll see when you have vacation.” in june 2008, he came to visit me with his wife and 2 kids for a week. the very first thing he asked me was what i am doing that i am busy all the time..i told him and he was able to tell i was making excuses..after they went back to india, i made it up to him by remembering him for some occassions..when i wrote to him for diwali, he replied, “thanks for remembering us. cheeerrs” then he called me. this year, i couldnt call them but i was remembering them so i sent him a few emails..my mom’s brother came to visit me for three weeks..the week my uncle was here, my cousin was in germany..my cousin called me only for an update on his papa..i have a feeling that since i didnt call my cousin this year, he no longer wishes to talk to me and now he is pretending to be busy..can someone send me their honest opinion..to tell you the truth, my mom doesnt allow me to call her brother because they dont call us..am i really being selfish..when i have vacation, the only thing i do is visit my dad in sfo which i feel uncomfortable..he has two roommates and when i go there, i have to share the bathroom with two guys..my mom did say she cant send me to my dad’s like that..since the economy is down, 55% of my classes at my college have been cut and they’re raising tution this year..i cant seem to find a job..my mom is at risk of losing her job and she made plans to go to europe this year..what can i do..can someone provide me with some advice..
my mom is mad at me because i cant find a job..i submitted my resume to at least 200 places and had only 1 interview and was told i would know by the end of the week..my mom says submitting my resume isnt enough..what am i doing wrong..i wanted to work after my vacation started but i knew i wouldnt be able to do because of my mom’s brother visiting..it would be hard to work for a week then ask for some time off..which is why i couldnt work..please help me

well happens when you suffer a downfall you don’t get proper responses from anywhere.. this is hard patch of your life..every one will seem to be mad at you… but you don’t lose hope try submitting resumes and also think of some other options too… and for cousins time… send him a e mail that you have to search a job and with your relatives visiting you cant get to call him… good if he understands… otherwise you cant really do anything…
